The directors of the line have requested additional funding from the board for extension of the station area, which was made prior to the end of the 2010 to take advantage of the discounted VAT rate. Permission was granted for the modifications and an order placed with Dragon G-scale for the additional permanent way.
These new sections form part of a larger plan for extension into the garden in 2011 - but more importantly allow the station of 'Alison' to be established with a longer loop, carriage/wagon siding and engine shed facilities. Plans will be available for submission to the council and board before March 2011.
