From Austria to the USA in an afternoon...

First up a couple of shots trying to recreate the shed at Molln on the Steyrtalbahn...

Since I took these I've split down Henrik and given him a second coat of satin varnish which has improved matters further.

I'm sat inside waiting for things to dry after another shower, before that we had Dad's Shay and the new logging wagons out for a run.

Hoping to get Henrik back together after tea for a run before it goes dark, and possibly a visit by Tim, who I've not seen since January.

  1. They look great James... and the finish on Henrik looked ok in the photos... so hope it's ok after that second varnish coat. Glad that you've got some proper running in - it's been so wet here we couldv'e driven a model boat in the road! Ah, the English Summer.

Enjoy the evening.. between the showers

  2. Hi Jon, yes Henrik is massively improved! Even better Tim made it round just as the evening cleared up and the sun came out! So after a quick bit of drying rails we cracked open a few beers and ran some trains and had a good old chin wag. Good times. Therapy of the best kind.
