Riveting stuff...

Another step closer to finishing Henrik this evening, I've spent a few hours adding a hundred or so rivets to the tanks and bunker area. The real 699.1xx's were welded or riveted, I plumped for rivets to give the tanks some relief, and I'm pleased with how they've come out, I can't wait to get some primer on now!

  1. These look very promising James.... I followed the link you posted to DCC supplies the other day and tried to look at these rivet transfers - but the images were a little small. which ones did you use - some that'd suit locos and wagons on 4mm would be useful - I have some Deltic fuel tank seems needing rivets. I know that DCC will be at showcase next weekend... but I suspect that I'll not be (unfortunately) - unless I can swing this one; it's quite a drive from deepest sussex.

Keep up the good work.... Jon

  2. Jon take a look at the HO scale ones - these are O scale 'bridge rivets' and the heads are about 1mm in diameter.

If you search on the web for the brand name 'Archer Fine Transfers' you'll find their website which has all the different sheets they offer. Then just check and see if DCC Supplies have that sheet in stock, else order direct from the US.
