Frank S conversion in print...

My article penned especially for Continental Modeller earlier this year has appeared in the December 2011 issue of the magazine (http://www.pecopublications.co.uk/continental-modeller). It's 12 months since I last appeared in print, in the Traction Annual last year and in Model Rail 12 months before that. It's lovely to be able to share this niche part of our hobby with a wider audience, I hope my model encourages others to have a go...

  1. Well done for getting in print again james... my attempt is about to "go out"... albeit slightly old news now. Must write up current project and see if there's interest... and be at home when there's some reasonable light around to get some better shots. Just need the back to behave right now - reasonable during the day; hell at night - not the best combination!
Looks like I'll be picking up a copy of CM (not my usual read) but there's a good reason now. Well done (again)... and keep up the good work... your dad would be proud... but you know that, don't you.

  2. Jon - good news, I guess that's the 'weathering a Deltic' article, in BRM? I'll keep my eyes peeled as they do sell it in my local WHS. I think your current project is more MRJ worthy, but try Railway Modeller - perhaps more their end of the spectrum - Steve Flint seems a nice chap to deal with, I spoke with him about doing an article but never got around to getting decent photographs. Sorry to hear about the back!! I hope a copy of CM helps cheer you up, it's an interesting read, a lot more variety than the typical UK modelling press...

And yes, I know Dad would be proud... I'm looking forward to Christmas, but January is going to be tough.
