The buffers will be replaced by a central buffer, the electrical connections plated over, handrails added, a repaint into silver and fit LED interior lights for dusk running.
I found an interesting article about spraying using silver paint, from an aero Modeller blog/e-zine. This is of particular interest as intend to model the VT98 based on examples that found further use in Serbia after retirement in Germany, as I've blogged previously.
